As I have been a track&Field athlete since the age of 14
and always trained in powerlifters gyms,
when I stopped running I was advised to try to enter a BB competition,
I was hooked!

Please describe a typical day in your life?

up at 7, breakfast then a little meditation,
then work (am a weight management consultant and lifestyle change coach),
lunch and snacks whenever works allows then home around 5, protein shake,
get ready and gym. Back home around 8.30, dinner,
checking emails, watching TV, winding down then bed around 10.30/11.00.

Please tell me something about your daily training routine?

I train differently off season and on season,
but generally I do a split back and triceps, chest and biceps,
shoulder and calves and quads and hams/glutes.
I also do 2 Tabata sessions a week and weather permitting
I cycle along the river or in the woods.
I also climb at an indoor centre or do short uphill sprints
with a sandbag on my shoulders in a park.
How often do you train in a week ? I don't believe in overtraining,
if nutrition is sound there isn't such a risk.
I train 7 days a week obviously not all of them at the same intensity.

What are the main differences when you train for a competition and in off season?
Off season I can be a little more relaxed
and skip workouts if I have work or social engagement,
pre contest I am very strict and never skip a workout unless I am ill

What are your future plans for 2013/2014?

Hopefully winning my British Title and trying for an International show, but who knows,
the future is very much written in the clouds ;-)
